Our story

Our home and the Cottage were inspired by the Victorian houses we saw in our travels.  While most of them were brightly-painted, frame structures, our choice of building a brick home was only natural since Bob is a skilled brick mason.

One Halloween we came across an older brick Victorian decorated as a haunted house. That really sealed the deal since my birthday is Halloween.  We imagined how our place would look decorated for the season.  Years later we completed our dream home, and enjoy sharing what we created with friends and family.

We hope you find time to come and enjoy Brictoria Cottage.

Location

The Cottage and Main house are located on eight wooded acres that is home to a variety of wildlife, including deer, foxes, owls, and wild turkeys.  During the day many small birds gather at our feeders. At dusk, resident owls call out to each other through the trees, while flocks of geese settle in nearby fields for the night.  As the sun sets, we light candles and lamps and just enjoy the quiet.
